The Gamaleya project inhabits two neighboring buildings in Old Cairo that have been in
Dr. Kassissia’s family for many decades. Both buildings were in severe disrepair and required a lot of means, effort, love, and care to rehabilitate.
The first location, 21 Haret Bergewan, built a long time ago using ancient building techniques, will nest luxury rooms and suites.
Furnished in the Islamic medieval style, it has become a warm and inviting space for both inspiration, socialization, and rest.
The second El Gamaleya building is 14 Amir el Geyoushi, which is the production/workshop, exhibition space, and artists/students residencies. It is spacious with high ceilings and wide atriums - and follows strict workplace safety regulations.
The work spaces are newly renovated, clean, and awaiting to be bustling with creative output.
